Case Dismissed
Case number: 3:96 CR 0062-JGH-2 Type of case: Counterfeiting United States Currency Jurisdiction: United States District Court Western District of Kentucky, Louisville Judge: John G. Heyburn, II
Mr. Croom was indicted by the Federal Grand Jury in Louisville and charged with Conspiracy to Manufacture Counterfeit United States Currency. Mr. Croom was an employee at a local Kinko's outlet when two men came into the store and allegedly paid him to permit them to use Kinko's high-tech copiers to manufacture counterfeit United States currency.
We were able to persuade the United States to dismiss the case two days before trial was set to begin in October of 1997.
